Egorievsk artists - Anatoly Strochilin
There is a lot of people unable to find their true destiny or looking for it too long. Anatoly Strochilin was not like that. He was lucky to make his right choice being a little boy of the hard post-war time when he had decided to be not less than an artist.
He started his formal art education at the School of Art and Craft of The Doulevo Porcelain Factory. It was a good training giving a demanded profession as well as an opportunity to survive in the post war Russia. Soon the young artist entered Leningrad High School of Art and Design named after Moukhina and few years later got a first-class diploma with distinction. After graduation he went back to his home china factory where he was making many works both for the mass production and for the collectable china sets. Some of them were bought by the museums of Moscow, Istra, Sergiev Posad, Krasnoyarsk and Egorievsk. His works often were being purchased by the USSR Culture Ministry for the foreign expositions. For many years A. Strochilin was a chief artist of The Moscow Regional Art Fund and its artworks factory.
For the last years the artist turned to the oil painting on canvases which we are glad to present with this small on-line exhibition. Many of these pictures decorates the homes in Russia and abroad. The land of Egorievsk continues to expire our talented compatriot.
